My 6 year old son used his own money to purchase this costume. He is very happy with it. His older brother bought one too and they both love to dress up and play ninja. As for the durability of the material, it's slightly more durable than the cheap Halloween costume I purchased for him last year. The velcro on one of the throwing stars came off after a few uses but it was easy enough to sew back on. The material get snags easily if it comes into contact with any of the velcro from the stars or the back of the suits that velcros closed. He is happy he bought it and enjoys it very much so I am happy with the purchase.
