Coming off the recent rumors of a Black Galaxy S III smartphone, it looks like the handset will indeed be coming available.
Well, at least for those in the UK anyway. Mobile Fun, a UK retailer has confirmed the upcoming availability of the Black Galaxy S III. The announcement comes with some pricing, the ability to place a pre-order and a rough idea of when the handset will begin shipping.
That being said, the Black Galaxy S III is priced at £499.95 (which includes VAT) and is “expected” to be in-stock and begin shipping in 4-6 weeks.
Of course, as many will realize given the price, this handset is SIM-free which means no long term carrier commitments to deal with. The handset has 16GB of internal storage and so far, nothing in terms of a black GSIII in a 32GB variety.
Otherwise, aside from the coloring, the handset remains the same in terms of specs. Just to offer a brief recap, that means Android 4.0 ICS along with a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED Plus display, quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos processor, 1GB of RAM, microSD card slot, 2100 mAh battery, 1.9 megapixel front facing camera and an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus, LED flash and 1080p (30fps) HD video recording.
